"REFUGE" HEADS TO USA

REFUGE on which I worked as the DOP is heading to festivals in the USA.

"The short film “Refuge” shot in the director’s native city of Seville will be screening at the Chicago Irish Film Festival and Capital Irish Film festival in Washington DC this March. The short tells the story of a young man from Ireland who, lost and alone in Seville, gets help and refuge from an undocumented immigrant. For one night, the two men are equals. The film has already screened at Foyle and Brest amongst other festivals.

The Irish man was played by Cork actor Tommy Harris and the refugee by Cameroonian Cletus Fonony, who had gone through a similar experience as the co-protagonist. I wrote the scenario together with Bobby Moloney and worked with the actors to improvise their lines." Leticia Agudo
