BUSH KIDS

After my experience working as a camera operator on a reality TV show Survivor (called Expedition Robinson on the Czech market), sweating it in 40 degree heat in the Philippines for 14 hours a day, 6 days a week, I had decided that a few days filming a similar show with a couple of children and in much cooler climate of Ireland was going to be a breeze. How wrong was I! Three days, similar hours and a relentless rain in the Irish woods and meadows (turned bog-lands) did a number on me unlike the 5 weeks in the tropics. But in the end, the crew and cast were a mix of lovely and passionate people, and I am very happy with the result. A TV show for kids that the whole family will enjoy, called Bush Kids, is now on the RTÉ player, and I had contributed to episodes 9, 10, 11. and 12. of the first season as a second camera operator.
