This project came to me through my good friend Beta Bajgart, an accomplished, award winning and published photographer turned documentary director. When she was commissioned to make a series of short films about women who came from underprivileged backgrounds and who, through sheer determination, hard work and focus managed to establish themselves in interesting careers, she approached me to be her DOP. A part of a broader campaign "Inspiring Women, Inspiring the Future," this short film was supported by Google and Bank of America.

"This is an uplifting story about Dil Wickremasinghe, a podcaster, speaker, mental health service provider and an activist who lives with her wife and kids in Dublin. Life hasn’t always been a breeze for this energetic, bubbly and dynamic woman. Her way of coping with life lessons can serve as an inspiration to many of us."
